Origins of Yoga
Yoga is a very ancient discipline which finds its roots in India, more than 5000 years ago. Originally, yoga was practiced as a spiritual mean to master the body and the mind, and allow the yogi to meditate and realize his true nature, or the Self.
Introduced in the West in the seventies, it is nowadays mostly the physical aspect of yoga, with its numerous benefits on health and stress management, which is practiced and taught through postures, breathing exercises and relaxation.
